2019 Annual Meeting

After worship on Sunday, June 2, NHCC held a potluck lunch followed by our annual congregational meeting.  As usual, the meeting was held in our Great Hall.

Business transacted at these meetings includes adopting the year's budget and electing officers.  We also remember our friends and members who have died in the past year and recognize our "angels" who have contributed to the church in outstanding ways.  And we have a lot of fun.

The pictures below give a sample of the day's activities.  All official reports and the budget are in writing; contact the church office if you need a copy.  Officers and committee members are listed here.  (New officers and committee members take office Jul 1.  Link will show the current list until then.)

As always, there was plenty of food.  Many more homemade goodies are out of sight in this picture.

Every annual meeting includes recognition of those who have been born and those who have died in the past year.  Here we sing For All the Saints in memory.

Senior Pastor Ken Baily gives his annual report on the spiritual health of the congregation after having led us in prayer to start the meeting.  Moderator Joy Huber at left presided over her last annual meeting.

A highlight of the meetings is presentation of "angel awards" for people whose service to the church has been especially important in the past year.  This year's award went to Ann Hulsing, far right.  Presenters are Nyal McDonough and Carol Hausner ("helped" by one of our youngest members).

Ann was recognized for her work on kitchen renovations and the mission program, which this year includes a senior housing initiative.
