Christian Education Note
Behold, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? (Isaiah 43:19)
During this season of harvest and celebration, the Christian
Education Committee and Church Council are about to celebrate a new
thing: one we believe that you will welcome. After more than a year of careful
discernment on our committees and in one-on-one conversations with parents, we
are about to try out a new schedule for most of our Christian Education
programs starting on Communion Sunday, November 2. In an effort
to engage all ages of our congregation in programs and worship that teach and
inspire us with God's good news, Children's Chapel, Church School, and
Middle Youth class will be held concurrently with worship in the
Sanctuary from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM. Classes and worship
will be followed by fellowship time. We will have an opportunity to evaluate
the format together February 1 after worship. See our bulletin boards for
further details.
We look forward to this new vision and this new system serving the needs
and hopes of our own current members and friends, and offering our
characteristic outreach and inclusiveness to others seeking a home in Christ's
Church. Please contact either of u.s or any CE members with questions, and we
look forward to a wonderful late fall and early winter.

Children/Middle Youth CE Schedule
1st Sunday of the month: Children/Middle Youth (C/MY) begin in classrooms
and then come to sanctuary for Communion.
2nd Sunday of the Month: C/MY begin in sanctuary (for children's time),
then go downstairs to classrooms.
3rd Sunday of the Month: Children go to Children's Chapel, downstairs.
Middle Youth go to classroom. Both groups remain in their respective
locations and do not attend worship.
4th Sunday of the Month: C/MY begin in sanctuary (for children's time),
then go downstairs to classrooms.
5th Sunday of the Month: C/MY begin in Sanctuary (November & March;
Advent and Lent)
We will always have a sign and bulletin note to guide you. We will modify
this plan from time to time for special seasons or events such as
Thanksgiving Family Sunday.
