Newton Neighbors, a local nonprofit that facilitates “community connection, mutual aid, and access to resources” for Newtonians and residents of other local communities, recently thanked Newton Highlands Congregational Church for a $1,000 donation.
“Your donation will enable us to directly impact the lives of many individuals and families in Newton and beyond,” she wrote, “and we are very grateful for your compassion and solidarity.”
The donation was one of the Mission Committee’s fiscal-year-end allocations in June 2024, and it was the first time the church donated to Newton Neighbors.
