During children’s time, they enjoyed a series of multiple choice questions testing their knowledge of the Bible.
The Reverend Dr. Ken Baily spoke about the mixed reaction to Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem in his meditation. He contrasted the lavish transportation of government officials with the humble arrival of Jesus, and he explained that execution by crucifixion was costlier than other methods and was reserved for people who threatened the empire, like Jesus.
“Our God is bigger than any empire,” he stated.
For the postlude, organist Yevgenia Semeina played “I. Postlude-Reflection on Passion Chorale” (Fred Bock).
