Good Friday Tenebrae, April 15, 7:30 p.m.
Holy Week begins on Palm/Passion Sunday, and its climax involves the stories of the day of crucifixion. Twelve readers extinguish twelve candles, interspersed with Taizé chant, in a well-spaced gathering in the Great Hall. Our Senior Choir leads our music, back together for the first time in three years. A somber service, but appropriate for all ages.
Easter Sunrise, April 17, 6:00 a.m.
Meet at the west end of Crystal Lake (Levingston Cove, Lake Avenue) for a gathering of scripture, song, and celebration that Christ is Risen, indeed. Bring a neighbor or friend—it is a brief worship and a wonderful moment in the season.
Clouds or shine, but check back if it is raining heavily.
Egg hunt, April 17, 9:30 a.m.
In medieval days they gave up eggs for Lent, inspiring this ongoing tradition. Bring children to hunt for eggs on the church lawn, weather permitting.
Festival worship, April 17, 10:00 a.m.
Join us in the sanctuary, with the renewed organ (!), trumpet, Senior Choir, and Communion, as a family of faith for the first time in three years. Sing, cry, celebrate, worship, praise God, see familiar (masked) faces, and breathe, finally. God is with us, we are not alone, thanks be to God!
