When we care for others and forgive others even when they upset us, we are following Jesus’ loving example. This month we’ll talk about relationships with God, with friends and family, and even with people we don’t know. Children and youth are invited to join the conversation.
Here is our schedule for November 2026.
- Sunday, November 1, 10:00 a.m. Join us for our monthly mission activity! During church school we will make sandwiches for the Community Day Center of Waltham. NHCC also provides beverages, fruit, and healthy snacks for the Community Day Center clients.
- Sunday, November 8, 10:00 a.m. Do you have a relationship with God? Many of us have been going to church for years yet still find it difficult to fully understand what it means to be Christian. As a group we will explore what it means to have a personal relationship with God. We will explore scriptures from Joshua, Matthew and James.
- Sunday, November 15, 10:00 a.m. Do you have a best friend or many friends? Or is it a challenge to build strong relationships? Even trivial misunderstandings can make us sad. In John 13:34-35 we are told to love one another. God’s love toward all people is an example for us to follow. In Ephesians 4:29-32 we learn to express kindness, love and forgiveness to others.
- Sunday, November 22, 10:00 a.m. Children and youth will make pumpkin pies for our hungry neighbors who are supported by the Allston Brighton Food Pantry. We need a group of youth and adults to help with pie making during worship. Wendy will be contacting families for support.
- Sunday, November 29, 10:00 a.m. Did you have a good holiday with your family? What was your favorite part of the day? In 2 Corinthians 9:7 we learn to share what we have decided in our hearts to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. What does this mean to you?
