Sunday service features new interim music director, blanket appeal

It doesn’t have to be

the blue iris, it could be

weeds in a vacant lot, or a few

small stones; just

pay attention, then patch

a few words together and don’t try

to make them elaborate, this isn’t

a contest, but the doorway

into thanks, and a silence in which

another voice may speak.

Worshippers on Sunday, October 9, were treated to the debut of Jan Zimmerman, interim music director. The choral anthem was “Though I May Speak with Bravest Fire.”

Kitty Rieske, chair of the Mission Committee, asked congregants to donate blankets for Welcome Home and explained the importance of blankets for disadvantaged families.
