Newton Highlands Congregational Church welcomes the Reverend Dr. Paul Shupe on Sunday, May 1, 2022, for worship leadership. In his sermon, entitled “Fishing in New Waters,” he will talk about how God can find us in our old ways and call us into new ways of being.
Paul retired in February 2021 following a 34-year career in ministry in the United Church of Christ. Paul served churches in Falmouth, Maine; Madison, Wisconsin; and most recently, Lexington, Massachusetts.
He lives in Portland, Maine with his wife, MaryAnn Shupe. They have two grown sons–Nate, of New Gloucester, Maine; and Sam, of Boston, Massachusetts. Paul is an avid walker, biker, and reader. Having spent a lifetime doing things, he is now exploring the mysteries of simply being.
Paul Shupe and Ken Baily have been friends for more than 30 years.
