Shout it aloud, do not hold back.
Raise your voice like a trumpet.
Declare to my people their rebellion
and to the descendants of Jacob their sins.Isaiah 58:1
In his meditation at Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, the Reverend Dr. Ken Baily recommended that congregants identify evil for themselves and work together to confront it.
“You know what evil is,” he stated. “Don’t let other people define it for you.” He spoke about steps people can take to strenghten ties.
“We can unite and work together,” he said. “Repair the breach with joy and community.”
The service included a children’s message by Director of Christian Education Wendy Donnell about signs being removed from the church grounds.
After the message, children left the sanctuary and made sandwiches for Community Day Center of Waltham.
