Several visually oriented members met with interior designer Michelle Markert on February 21, 2024, to continue refreshing the gathering spaces at Newton Highlands Congregational Church in order to make the church even more welcoming.
Worker bees were Diane Basemera (Buildings & Grounds Committee); the Reverend Ken Baily; Sally Brickell, moderator; Wendy Donnell, director of Christian Education; Ann Hulsing (Buildings & Grounds Committee); and Carol Jensen (former member, Worship & Spiritual Life Committee).
The group did a walk-through of the entryway, narthex, office hallway, and parlor; moved furniture, including consolidating two clothing racks; and made plans to purchase some room accessories to improve the spaces.
