Reflect on the image of Jesus feeding thousands of hungry people. Where do you imagine yourself in this huge assembly? Are you surrounded by members of your family or close friends? Or are you just a faceless person in the crowd?
Thousands were fed by Jesus with only five small loaves of bread and two fish. Matthew 14:13-21 challenges us to live not according to a myth of scarcity (how little we have), but from the perspective of abundance (how much God has given us). Would you feed a stranger, a neighbor, a traveler, or a child with their hand out for food? Do you have a generous spirit?
Come hear a story about people who were hungry and decided to fill an empty pot with soup and God’s love.
