A brief congregational meeting after worship on October 18, 2026, enabled Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, members to complete the work initiated at the annual meeting in June. Moderator Peter Bryden led the meeting.
Long-time auditor Peter Moore was presented with a Patriots sweatshirt in recognition of his decades of service as the church’s auditor.
Business covered at the meeting included the following:
- Affirmative votes to accept Clerk’s Report, Auditor’s Report, and Treasurer’s Report
- Final approval of budget
- Vote on updated nominating slate and amended Short-Term Rentals Report
- Approval of guidelines for Hulsing/Koney Community Social Justice Fund
