After weeks of report writing, Nominating Committee meetings, pizza ordering, email exchanges, and Zoom calls, Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, concluded its fiscal year with its Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 7, 2026, after worship.
The meeting was led by Vice Moderator Sally Brickell and featured a service of remembrance, approval of prior meeting minutes, remarks by committee members, several slide presentations, expressions of gratitude accompanied by rounds of applause, a spirited interval of laughter yoga led by member Marian Reynolds, affirmative votes on the nominating slate and budget, and a pizza and potluck lunch.
Thank you to Office Administrator Annemarie Rom-Weisenbach for her hard work preparing the annual report, and thank you to all the other staff members, church officers, and committee chairs and members for their dedication and time!
