A carpenter installed new hooks in the Newton Highlands Congregational Church vestibule and narthex in June 2024, continuing the sprucing up that was begun in summer 2023. He also moved an emergency kit and fire extinguisher to make them slightly less prominent.
In addition, on June 16, 2024, volunteer Jeff Kaplan removed wooden supports for a glass case that was taken down to make room for a storage chest that will be purchased.
