A group of parishioners from Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC (NHCC), gathered on Sunday, March 8, 2026, for a Nicaraguan-style lunch in the Great Hall to raise money for the Free High School of San Juan del Sur.
The church’s connection to Nicaragua, including fundraisers and youth group trips, dates to the late 1980s. Fig City News recently covered some of the work that has been done.
The lunch was skillfully hosted by the Mission Committee, who showed slides from some of the projects. Donations are still welcome!
