April 2023
During Lent, we considered God’s abundant love and steadfast assurance, and how these shape our lives. As we enter Holy Week and encounter the events of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and final days on earth, we call out for God’s abundant mercy and give thanks for God’s faithfulness in our lives.
Here is our schedule for April 2023.
- Sunday, April 2, 10:00 a.m., This morning we commemorate the day Jesus entered Jerusalem for the final time. Come early to distribute Palms to all our worshippers. Palms remind us of when people laid clothing and branches on the road as Jesus entered Jerusalem (Matthew 21:8). Afterwards, children and youth will gather for a sandwich-making mission event for our neighbors at the Community Day Center of Waltham.
- Sunday, April 9
- 6:00 a.m. Sunrise worship (39 Forest Street)
- 9:30 a.m. Egg hunt (church lawn)
- 10:00 a.m. Intergenerational worship – No classes. Nursery care available.
- Sunday, April 16, 10:00 a.m., Intergenerational Worship – No classes. Nursery care available.
- Sunday, April 23, 10:00 am., Sometimes things in our lives don’t make sense to us. Jesus revealed who he was to his disciples when he met them on the road to Emmaus. Would you believe that Jesus had risen? How would it change your life if you saw Jesus alive (Luke 24:13-25)?
- Sunday, April 30, 10:00 am., In the Bible we learn that Jesus said he was a shepherd of people. We all need a shepherd, or someone who will guide us through life. Is there someone in your home who guides you? Who else in your life helps you make good choices (John 10:1-10)?
