Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Several hymns with a creation theme were chosen for the Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, service on June 22, 2025. They were “For the Beauty of the Earth,” “The Heavens Above Declare God’s Praise,” and “Let All Things Now Living.” The offertory was June from “The Seasons” (Peter Tchaikovsky).
The Reverend Dr. Ken Baily explained that creation stories in the Bible indicate that humans are created in God’s image and start out fundamentally good. “Our creation story is that we need each other,” he said.
He also delivered a closing blessing.
For the postlude, organist Yevgenia Semeina played “Grand Triumphal Chorus” (Alexandre Guilmant).
