Early birds: NHCC to begin Easter with sunrise service; Easter egg hunt and Zoom worship will follow

Please save the date for an Easter sunrise service on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 6:10 a.m. The service will be held at Livingston Cove, which is at the west end of Crystal Lake near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Lakewood Road, about four blocks east of Newton Highlands Congregational Church.

The sunrise service will be hosted by members of the Worship & Spiritual Life Committee and Reverend Ken Baily. Plan to dress warmly and wear a mask.

NHCC invites families with children to gather on the lawn at 54 Lincoln Street, Newton Highlands, at 9:35 a.m. on Easter for an outdoor egg hunt. The hunt will feature safe distances and sanitary eggs. We will still remember the end of Lent (when people gave up eating eggs) and the joy of discovery! Watch this space for a rain plan.

A traditional Easter worship service with trumpet and music from our senior choir will be held on Zoom at 10:00 a.m. Bring communion elements and join us in singing “Jesus Christ is Risen Today.” All are welcome!
