Pie makers crown Thanksgiving dinners

An industrious crowd of youthful pie makers filled the Newton Highlands Congregational Church kitchen with pumpkin spice on Sunday, November 19, 2023, as they prepared 14 pies to accompany Thanksgiving dinners for Newton Food Pantry. The cooking spree was organized by Director of Christian Education Wendy Donnell and the Christian Education Committee. Thank you to all the bakers and helpers!

More than 20 people contributed dishes to the dinner drive. The dinner components were handed out at church on Monday by the Reverend Ken Baily and two Mission Committee members: Lynn Scheller and Lynn Shields. Thank you to all the shoppers, chefs, and volunteers!
