Newton will hold a special election on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, to fill two slots on City Council.
Different candidates have different views about zoning and development, and these views affect the senior housing project that we have been working on for seven-plus years. Two candidates express support for such projects and two would slow ours down.
NHCC is not endorsing a candidate. But we have voted as a congregation to proceed with the mission of senior housing. Take the time to learn about the candidates and their positions, and do vote in the special election. You can watch a virtual debate this Sunday, February 21, from 2:00-4:30 p.m.
