Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of culture, community, and freedom. Join us at the Hyde Community Center in Newton Highlands for the 6th Annual Newton Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 3:00-9:00 p.m. — this is a free, vibrant, high-energy event you don’t want to miss.

This year we embrace “Joyful Resistance” in appreciating the beauty and richness of African-American culture, heritage, and tradition. All residents and visitors are welcome to help celebrate 161 years since the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. We are also proud to partner with the Hyde Community Center to seamlessly incorporate Juneteenth into the Friday Summer Concert Series with a high-energy, culturally relevant concert from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a family movie under the stars.
