This month brings seasonal changes and opportunities to enjoy nature together. Children and youth are invited to enjoy God’s fall handiwork with us.
Here is our schedule for October 2027.
Sunday, October 4, 10:00 a.m. Join us for our monthly mission activity! During church school we will make sandwiches for the Community Day Center of Waltham. Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, also provides beverages, fruit, and healthy snacks for the Community Day Center clients.
Sunday, October 11, 10:00 a.m. In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 we learn that for “everything there is a season, and a time to every matter under the heavens.” During church school we will delight in the joy of nature’s changing display, as well as the wonder of harvest time. We will praise God for what we are provided.
Sunday, October 18, 10:00 a.m. Jesus expects his followers to forgive others, and he offered the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant (Matthew 18:21-35) to help us understand what forgiveness means in our lives now.
Sunday, October 25, 10:00 a.m. Halloween is a fun event for many children. Join us for pumpkin painting, apple bobbing, and a conversation on how to be safe when children are out collecting goodies.
