NHCC has provided support for Family Promise Metrowest (FPM) for many years. FPM is a cooperative interfaith partnership offering hope to homeless families with children through safe transitional shelter, meals and supportive case management as they seek permanent housing.
Until the pandemic, families were housed in churches (host congregations) and received additional support through a network of volunteers from support churches (of which NHCC is one) and other community-based volunteers.
However, because of the need for social distancing, FPM has moved the families into hotel rooms in an effort to keep both volunteers and families safe.
NHCC recently received a lovely thank you note from Paula Brown, Outreach and Network Coordinator for FPM, for our financial support. She writes,
The type of financial support that your congregation has provided has become even more crucial to FPM’s ability to provide for vulnerable families. We are incredibly grateful to NHCC for your ongoing support. Thanks again for your generous donation. We are so grateful for your support.
