Save the date for a Community Connection session on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., as landscape architect Karen Sebastian and design builder and restoration contractor David Nauss return to Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, with sketches for the church’s landscape master plan.
The consultants are using ideas gathered from church members, a new property survey, and information about what the City of Newton is planning in Newton Highlands to imagine updates for the church grounds.
Point people for the church are Diane Basemera, a member of the Building and Grounds Committee, and Sally Brickell, vice moderator.
Ideas for improving the church’s interior and exterior have been under consideration since 2022.
