Ambulators assemble on May 5 to combat homelessness

A peppy posse of pedestrians circled the Newton Highlands Congregational Church (NHCC) block on Sunday, May 5, 2024, to raise money for Family Promise Metrowest’s Walk to End Homelessness.

About 20 enthusiastic adults and children participated in the church walk, which was sponsored by the Mission Committee.

Before heading outside, the walkers enjoyed an inspiring session of laughter yoga led by NHCC member and certified Laughter Yoga Leader Marian Reynolds.

The church walk has raised more than $2000, and Family Promise Metrowest has raised almost $87,000. More donations are welcome!

After the walk, participants were rewarded with a lunch of pizza and salad, which was organized by Mission Committee chair Kitty Rieske.

Thank you to all who participated, donated, and helped!
