Stewardship, sandwiches featured on May 5

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.  I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

The Reverend Ken Baily talked about the church’s culture of faith and friendship in his remarks during the Newton Highlands Congregational Church (NHCC) worship service on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

He spoke about the annual invitation to support the work of the church with volunteer commitments and monetary donations during the church’s stewardship campaign.

“Jesus invtes us to operate as friends,” he stated. “We all hunger for vision and values.”

To support the stewardship campaign, member Diane Basemera explained what drew her to NHCC.

Children and youth made sandwiches for Community Day Center of Waltham.
