Baptism is highlight of April 21 service

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Matthew 28:19

The worship service at Newton Highlands Congregational Church on Sunday, April 21, 2024, featured the baptism of two young siblings.

The Reverend Ken Baily laid the groundwork for Stewardship 2024: Sacred Spirits, Caring Community, the church’s annual fundraising campaign, by speaking about the reasons people attend church. He cited being surrounded by artwork, architecture, music, and getting a chance to step away from ourselves and from worldly concerns in order to sit in a community of fellow believers.

“We need to nurture the church so we follow the prophets of justice,” he stated.
