CE: April brings palms, eggs, renewal, and hope

Jesus came to show God’s love by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, preaching, and teaching. During Lent we learn that Jesus put God’s love into action despite the challenges in his own life.

How do you put God’s love into action? Join us this month to connect, serve others, distribute palms, and enjoy all the Easter celebrations.

Here is our schedule for April 2025.

  • Sunday, April 6, 10:00 a.m., Children and youth begin in church school to make sandwiches for the adults who are homeless at the Community Day Center of Waltham. We return to join our families for communion.
  • Sunday, April 13, 10:00 a.m., Come early to distribute Palms for all our worshippers. Palms remind us of when people laid clothing and branches on the road as Jesus entered Jerusalem (Matthew 21:8). Together we will find a connection with Jesus because he was a good human being. What makes you a good human being? Jesus lived his life showing warm concern for his followers and friends. What is your story?
  • Sunday, April 20, 10:00 a.m., Easter sunrise service at Crystal Lake at 6:00 a.m., Easter egg hunt on the church lawn at 9:30 a.m., and intergenerational worship at 10:00 a.m. Nursery care available for children through age five.
  • Sunday, April 27, 10:00 a.m., Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Come help us plan this fellowship hour event.
