Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
This month we will express God’s love by making sandwiches, thanking the women in our lives, and thinking together about Jesus’ teachings about love.
- Sunday, May 4, 10:00 a.m. Children and youth begin in church school to make sandwiches for the adults who are homeless at the Community Day Center of Waltham and then join our families for communion. After worship, everyone is welcome to take a short walk to support Family Promise Metrowest. This month NHCC will be collecting cans of tuna for Newton Food Pantry.
- Sunday, May 11, 10:00 a.m. After worship and church school, the Christian Education team, children, and youth will host a special fellowship time honoring our mothers and the women who enrich our lives.
- Sunday, May 18, 10:00 a.m. In the book of Luke 6:27-31 we learn from Jesus that we should love our enemies. How can that be true even today? Loving our neighbors is one thing, but what about being kind to those who mistreat us? Join us to discuss why this important scripture is relevant to our lives today.
- Sunday, May 25, 10:00 a.m. On Memorial Day weekend we will have an intergenerational worship service. Nursery care for children through age five will be available.
