Children and youth were welcomed back to Newton Highlands Congregational Church on Sunday, September 15, 2024, after a summer hiatus.

They did some getting-acquainted activities, made sandwiches for the Community Day Center of Waltham, and enjoyed ice cream on the church lawn.

During worship, the Reverend Ken Baily discussed two things that Jesus preached about: Change and justice.

“Justice is what love looks like in public,” he said, quoting a theologian. He spoke about Biblical message that wisdom is the precursor to action. “Thinking and acting are connected,” he stated.

The service concluded with “Sortie in C,” a postlude played by organist Yevgenia Semeina.
