On Sunday, October 27, 2024, children listened to a message about the origins of Halloween.
In recognition of Reformation Sunday, adults learned from the Reverend Ken Baily about John Wycliffe and Martin Luther, two key figures in what became known as the Protestant Reformation, who asserted that believers could and should learn God’s teachings directly from the Bible.
The closing hymn was “O Day of Peace.”
Organist Yevgenia Semeina chose J. S. Bach’s Fugue in E flat major for the postlude.
Volunteers Liz Ramos and Marian Reynolds hosted the fellowship time, and the Mission Committee wrapped up their October cookware drive by loading donated cookware into a car for delivery to Welcome Home.
