The September 7, 2025, service at Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, opened with the choir’s sprighly rendition of “Sing Out a Joyful Song in Praise” (Dale Wood).
Hymns included “I’m Gonna Sit at the Welcome Table” and “What a Covenant.”
Children gathered for a message from Director of Christian Education Wendy Donnell about making choices.

“If we want to be sure and helpful, we have to fight the forces that pull us apart,” he stated.
Deacons Yumiko Matsuoka, Amanda Ketchpaw Palés, Tann Scott, and Hope Wallace Hill assisted with communion.
For the postlude, organist Yevgenia Semeina played “Joyeux!” by Martin Ellis.
