In order to accommodate short-term renters for events like concerts and community gatherings, Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, is seeking church members ages 16 and up to help with building tasks for events.
There are many small tasks behind the scenes that make these events successful. We’d like to create a pool of helpers so we can reach out when we need help and share the load.
How it works
- Flexible Support: We reach out on an as-needed basis: Help only when you are available!
- Volunteer Tasks: These are mostly brief tasks that take about 15–30 minutes. Examples include stopping by to preheat the space or to unlock and lock the doors.
- Paid Shifts: While most tasks are volunteer, staying on-site to monitor larger events will be compensated hourly.
