Christian Education: Jesus’ teachings about serving others

He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”

Mark 9:35

Welcome! Even though there is still snow on the ground, spring will come this month. In church school we’ll talk about serving others as Jesus taught us.

Here is our schedule for March.

  • Sunday, March 1, 10:00 a.m., Join us for our monthly mission activity! We will make sandwiches for the Community Day Center of Waltham during church school.
  • Sunday, March 8, 10:00 a.m., Join us as we experience the Good Samaritan story, exploring the questions, “Who are our neighbors?” “How can we serve our neighbors?,” and “How is serving others ‘walking in the way of Jesus?’”
  • Sunday, March 15, 10:00 a.m., Do you know what two things we eat and drink during communion? We have bread, which represents the body of Jesus, and we have wine (juice), which represents the blood of Jesus. Jesus served the very first communion. Let’s learn a little more about why this is important to us as Christians.
  • Sunday, March 22, 10:00 a.m., On the Saturday before Palm Sunday, Jesus rested in Bethany on the day before Palm Sunday in a village near Jerusalem. He attended a dinner held in his honor at the home of Lazarus, Mary, and Martha, where Mary anointed his feet with perfume.
  • Sunday, March 29, 10:00 a.m., Palm Sunday. Join us for a celebration of Jesus, marking a message of hope, new life and God’s love. Come early to join our palm processional!
