On July 1, 2026, the Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, church school and child care programs will begin a summer break.
Rejoin us on September 13, when nursery care will be offered during worship for preschool children beginning at 9:50 a.m.
The church school program will resume on Sunday, September 20, led by our dedicated teacher, Megan Kolodney. Ms. Kolodney, a long-time and highly valued team member, is passionate, kind, and caring. She expresses her deep love for God’s Word through her teaching, skillfully blending spiritual dedication and real-life application.
As the Director of Christian Education I am truly blessed. I plan the curriculum and programming. I enjoy listening to Bible verses, getting to know the children, praying for them, and encouraging them to do their best for each other, their families, and God.
In the classroom, I also observe the interactions among the students, noting their different personalities and how God has given each one particular talents and abilities. We get to be with one another, to laugh, learn, pray with and share joys, cares, and concerns.
The Holy Spirit continues to teach me, and I learn more about God every week. I love being able to teach, help, observe, experience community, and learn. It is an awesome privilege and blessing to serve God as Director of Christian Education!
