Holy Envy and finding faith: Adult education series begins in October

This October Newton Highlands Congregational Church will offer a three- or four-week adult education series led by the Reverend Ken Baily to consider a book by Barbara Brown Taylor entitled Holy Envy: Finding God in the Faith of Others. All are welcome!

Although the author is a committed Christian, she explores how our world, our neighborhoods, and our families have diverse religious dimensions. So she calls us to understand each other, and even to enjoy each other.

The plan is to gather late on Sunday afternoons to share a meal from the culture that is being studied and discussed. The group will break bread (or naan or pita or…) and discuss insights based on the reading.

Gatherings will begin on October 15 or 22, depending on the group. If you are interested contact us, or sign up in the Parlor after worship, and we’ll organize (and make God laugh by planning) together.
