Under the supervision of the Buildings & Grounds Committee, the front porch of the parsonage was repaired to make it safer and more stable in April 2021. Given their exposure to the elements, the outdoor steps had rotted to the point where they were dangerous and needed to be replaced. The railings were also replaced.
Stated committee chair Randy Ellis, “Since we expect to have to remove and upgrade all of the steps when the parsonage is reconfigured soon, we did not worry about appearance but focused on functionality. Hence the crude railings and uneven color.”
In January 2021, after a cleanup effort by the Baily family, asbestos was removed from the parsonage basement.
