the Spangled Heavens
*Prayer of Invocation and Blessing
One Voice: Overflowing God, we gather to praise your name, to rejoice in your gifts, and to follow your way.
All: Joyful and blessing God, we thank you for the cloud of witness and ways that guide us now. For the promise of justice, the blessings of creation, and the vision of liberation, we give you thanks and praise.
One Voice: As we receive from your bounty, let us always be liberal in our sharing. As we receive your grace, let us be forgiving. As we receive your love, let us promote peace.
All: For we are not perfect or finished as people, but striving to learn and live throughout our lives, so we pray that you be with us and renew us in Christ’s name. Amen.
