Music Director and college professor Jan Zimmerman led the worship service on Sunday, October 22, 2023, putting music front and center. Ms. Zimmerman included several favorite hymns (“Come, O Fount of Every Blessing” and “How Can I Keep from Singing”) and sang a duet with soloist and deacon Amanda Ketchpaw Palés.
“Music is part of the experience of worship,” Ms. Zimmerman stated in her meditation. She explained that hymns can be instructional, connecting worshippers to theology, and that they can also connect worshippers with each other.
