In his meditation, the Reverend Ken Baily considered what instructions the Bible provides for building a life and a church. He highlighted the Gospel of Matthew.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20
“In today’s texts we find reasons to be members of a church, with common values and visions,” the Reverend Baily said. “God doesn’t want us to be alone. Jesus us is with us until ‘the end of the age.'”
For the postlude, organist Yevgenia Semeina played “Sortie in A Major” (A. Claussman).
