Devon Franklin, Program Support & Recovery Specialist at Community Day Center of Waltham
The young sandwich makers at Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC (NHCC), got a shout out from Ms. Devon Franklin, who recently visited with the children of NHCC.
In an email to Director of Christian Education Wendy Donnell on December 1, 2025, Ms. Franklin wrote, “I’m looking forward to your pageant on Sunday and to those sandwiches next Monday, made with love by you and the kiddos.” She continued, “It’s such a sweet commitment from you all, and really warms our spirits here.”
Ms. Franklin is working on a degree in social work at Bunker Hill Community College, is a Certified Peer Specialist through the Department of Mental Health, and is the driving force behind the shop at Community Day Center of Waltham.
