Thanks to the generosity of Newton Highlands Congregational Church members and friends, empty shelves at Welcome Home, a home goods pantry in West Newton, were restocked with a stash of cozy bath towels on November 1, 2023. The Mission Committee oversaw the towel drive, assisting Welcome Home for the second year in a row.
Mission Committee member Lynn Shields helped remove the donated towels from the church parlor, and moderator Sally Brickell made the delivery.
Welcome Home’s mission is to “provide families experiencing hardship with basic household items they need to live with dignity.”
