All-Newton UCC worship service to feature Alex Shea Will

Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22: 34-40

Join us this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for an all-Newton UCC worship service with Communion. The service will be led by the Reverend Alex Shea Will, Area Conference Minister, Northeast Region, Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ.

According to the Reverend Alex Shea Will, “We’ll reflect on Matthew 22:23-40, quite possibly Jesus’ most well-known teaching, and wonder together how it might help us work together to heal our world.”

After worship, enjoy refreshments and conversation in the church parlor!
