Now I know I’ve got a heart, ’cause it’s breaking…

Children did their monthly mission activity — making sandwiches for neighbors at Community Day Center of Waltham — on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC.
Worshipers heard a message about pilgrims guided by faith whose journeys take them to far places. The Reverend Ken Baily spoke in heartfelt terms about his daughter Isabelle’s departure for Colorado, and he described the long journey taken by Abram, “ancestor of all our faith” and his wife Sarai, who obeyed God’s call even though their path was uncertain.
“It takes courage to face hard things,” the Reverend Baily said. “Where is God calling us now?”
The service included Communion and was followed by the church’s Annual Meeting.

For the postlude, organist Yevgenia Semeina played “Trumpet Tune” (H. Lemoine).
