I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your support of The Walk to End Homelessness this past Sunday. Your team played a vital role in the success of the event, and we’re thrilled to share that NHCC has raised over $2,500 —an incredible achievement.
Your continued partnership means a great deal to us, and it has a direct and lasting impact on the work we do. Please extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire NHCC team and all those who contributed. We’re truly grateful for your commitment to helping end homelessness in our community.

The Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, walk on May 4, 2025, to raise funds for Family Promise Metrowest was kicked off with an enthusiatic laughter yoga warmup led by member and yoga teacher Marian Reynolds.
Family Promise Metrowest “transforms the lives of families with children who are facing homelessness by mobilizing a diverse community to provide shelter, education, and comprehensive support.”
After the walk, the peripatetic parishioners partook of pizza and salad in the church parlor.
The fundraising walk was led by the church Mission Committee, guided by co-chairs Kitty Rieske and Holly Grieb.
NHCC Walkers for Family Promise Metrowest raised $2,640 from more than 30 donors, with donations still welcome!

Director of Christian Education Wendy Donnell and nursery team leader Rachel Donnell donated the leftover food to Community Day Center of Waltham.
