Online Maundy Thursday service added to Holy Week schedule: April 17, 7:30 p.m.

In Christian history Holy Week has events for each day. On Thursday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m., you are invited to a few moments of memory and prayer.

Maundy Thursday means a “mandate” — the mandate is Jesus’ words, “Do this” in remembrance of me. The day before Good Friday (once God’s Friday) was the origin of our Eucharist, Communion, and Last Supper.

It is a holy day, and in our modern world we offer a chance to gather with a few companions, hear a brief word of scripture, and then express the prayers that are on your heart this year.

If you have prayers for healing, hope, peace, needs, deeper faith, or any prayers to hold to God, gather for this brief assembly, even as we may return Friday night again.
