As reported by WGBH News, the Toussaint L’Ouverture Cultural Center opened on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, a year after the groundbreaking ceremony.
Newton Highlands Congregational Church, UCC, supported the building project with a $1,000 donation late in 2024 using funds earmarked by the church for values-based capital projects at other institutions. The church received a letter of thanks in December.
