Christian Education program looks back on year of mission

This church school year we learned about the word of God through Bible study, activities, and a lot of hands-on mission work as Jesus has instructed his disciples.

We learned about hunger, collected 24 bags with child-friendly snacks and drinks for Newton Food Pantry, and added cards and notes.

We talked about neighbors who need our help, and we worked together to make vats of cranberry sauce!

Relating to the needs of small children, we also collected boxes of diapers

We supported Heifer International with a chicken drive

and World Central Kitchen with a soup drive.

We learned about families facing homelessness who are supported by Family Promise Metrowest, and we made sandwiches for Community Day Center of Waltham. We also ran a Clothes for Community Drive and collected dozens of bags of clothing for several local organizations, including Cradles to Crayons.

We also braved the New England weather and celebrated church holidays together!

Thank you for being vital and beloved members of our church family!

We wish you a healthy and blessed summer. Summer worship, often lay-led, is held at 9:30 a.m. July-September 4.
