The Celebrate and Serve Capital Campaign from 2017-2020 raised about $525,000 in pledges to pay for a major restoration of the organ, among other projects, as well as a 10% charitable commitment. NHCC celebrated its 110th anniversary with a fundraising concert on November 21, 1982. A quintet of singers performed arias and ensembles from operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Guiseppe Verdi.
In May of 1953, NHCC dedicated Founders Hall, excavated beneath the sanctuary and finished by the direct effort of the men and women of the church. The cornerstone of the new meeting house was laid on July 29, 1905. The new meeting house was dedicated on October 7, 1906. The church historian believes that the church bell, cast in 1875, came from the old building. The Chancel and North Transept windows were made by John Hardman & Co. of Birmingham, England. …
